November 29th, 2018
Thursday 29 November marks the launch of the INDE.Awards 2019 with entries now open.
With 12 categories awarding architecture, interior design and object design in all its forms, the INDE.Awards invites you to make your mark on the region and establish your voice among the world’s leading design names.
We know how much work is involved in pulling together an awards entry, so we’ve put together a cheat sheet to help you get prepared.
The 2019 INDEs revolves around four key dates. If you’re reading this, the first of those dates has already happened, with entries opening Thursday 29 November.
Entries close Tuesday 29 January 2019, so now is the time to plan internally for all that essential information you’ll need to enter your top-notch project/s, practice/s and product/s. From images, plans and drawings, to project credits and written responses.
Set yourself a deadline so you don’t miss your chance at being Shortlisted (announcement on 30 April 2019), or joining us as a winner on the INDE.Awards Gala evening on 21 June 2019.
Project/product completion date:
Has your project or product been completed between 1 January 2018 and 29 January 2019? This is an important detail you’ll need to confirm, in order to be eligible for the 2019 INDEs.
We’re an Indo-Pacific-wide awards program, celebrating the diversity of our region and shining the spotlight on the exceptional people and projects within the region. The Indo-Pacific is wide and far-ranging in its spread. The INDE.Awards defines this region as encompassing the following countries:
Fees and T&Cs:

We’re sticklers for great imagery – after all, they tell half the story. To ensure your images are doing your project justice, ensure they are of a professional quality. We’ll accept up to 10 images in landscape or portrait composition and up to five drawings or plans. We only accept JPEG or PNG format with 1500pix wide preferred.
‘The writing’ can be the most time-consuming aspect of an awards entry. However it’s a vital component of your entry as our judges really rely on your skill for articulating your project. Your words are the compass against which they measure the characteristics and qualities of your project.
We recommend carefully reviewing the Category Criteria and the Entry Questions, so you can plan ahead for your responses and any necessary client approvals. We will accept up to 250 words response, per question.
You’ll find all this information housed on the INDE.Awards website here.
The INDE.Awards calls on architects and designers to think big and look beyond their immediate locale. As many of our previous winners can attest, the INDEs brings recognition and growth to those who enter and win.
As Lily Goodwin of Pattern Studio, (2018 Honourable Mention – The Shopping Space), says: “Across the week’s INDE events [in June 2018] we heard some really bright ideas from designers and architects with big hearts and brilliant minds. The sense of camaraderie and support we felt as a young studio was unreal, it was so good to connect with other designers in such a warm and welcoming environment. The entire event really was a celebration of the work of all nominees, and the outstanding quality of design in the Asia Pacific region.”
