With day one almost wrapped, we bring you the blow-by-blow from the floors of FRONT.design at Barangaroo.
August 29th, 2019
Day one is coming to a close, but we’re already gearing up for an action-packed day two at FRONT.design! Fusing the best in commercial design with the latest in technology and networking systems, the event brings the innovations and innovators together to break down the barriers within our complex commercial design ecosystem.
Register now before it’s too late! We’re open 10-6pm, Friday 30 August.
Set across two floors with 60 brands showcasing the very latest in commercial design products, day one saw combined industries coming together to break bread, build new relationships and exchange essential, specialist knowledge. Here’s the break-down of what you, too, can experience at FRONT.design tomorrow!
From the moment of entry onto level 4 and 2 at FRONT.design’s exciting new location, at Tower 3 of International Towers in Barangaroo, the event is serving up an enormous array of spaces and opportunities to further your creative practice.
The Dyson Lightcycle Business Lounge, furnished by Wilkhahn, has offered a live hub on level 2 for visitors and exhibitors alike to sit back, relax, work and socialise. Meanwhile on level 4 the Central Bar, hosted by Maxton Fox, keeps the crowds and the conversations flowing.
Overlooking the award-winning Barangaroo House and neighbouring buildings, FRONT.design’s event floors offer an intimate and accessible experience. Home to 60 leading commercial design brands, we’ve welcomed architects, designers, property facilitators and end users – all keen to learn about the all-important research and design underpinning latest product releases.
Lined with high tables and stools for planned meetings or impromptu catch-ups, and serviced by round-the-clock coffee and food stations, FRONT.design sets the scene for connection, relationship building and knowledge exchange.
With guests, speakers and moderators flying in from interstate, FRONT.design has caused quite a buzz. Among those top-class speakers hitting the ground on day one, we’ve welcomed FRONT.design Ambassadors Fiona Young (Hayball), Simone Oliver (Architectus), Liam Timms (International Towers) and Neill Johanson (Davenport Campbell), as well as Robyn Lindsey (Geyer), Tony Byrne (GM, International Towers), Howard Smith (Keppel Capital), Stephen Thatcher (GBCA) and more.
And from the attendees’ side? Already many of the key firms from across a range of sectors have dropped in – Futurespace, Geyer, Woods Bagot, Architectus, PTW, Arup, HASSELL, Sibling and more. At the end of the day, getting in front of the right people can make all the difference.
Where is the workplace heading? How is healthcare and aged care evolving to address our rapidly shifting needs? It was standing room only in many of the sessions at FRONT.design Forum, day one. Through today’s workplace sessions (proudly presented by Business Interiors) and Healthcare and Aging sessions (proudly presented by Caroma), FRONT.design Forum set out to answer the big questions and debate the finer points with carefully curated panels of industry specialists and experts who work within the organisations and on the ground.
