A huge event for the Architecture and Design community as well as an important event for raising funds for charity Reach Out has unfortunately been cancelled due to concerns over the COVID-19 virus outbreak.
March 17th, 2020
Following advice and direction from the Federal and NSW state governments in line with that of the World Health Organisation, organisers of Dance for Life 2020 have decided against hosting the event which up until now had been scheduled for the 20th of March.
“The health and wellbeing of all event stakeholders and guests are our number one priority and I trust that you understand the reasoning behind this very difficult decision.” Stated Cory Cvetkovic, Managing Director, in a press release regarding the cancellation.
Haworth are currently working with ReachOut Australia and all the Dance for LIFE 2020 sponsors and participants to understand the potential into rescheduling and / or remodelling of the event. Details on this will be shared shortly. Refunds of pre-purchased tickets will be facilitated over the coming seven days.
Cory Cvetkovic has expressed disappointment that Haworth and ReachOut had to make such a decision and acknowledged the significant time, effort and commitment made by many leading up to the event.
