Samsung Staron® Solid Surfaces experienced a successful exhibition with a display of system solutions in a hotel environment. The stand was designed by respected architect Ursula Fuss and was used to display the versatility of Staron® for building facades, hotel bathrooms, doors and wall cladding.
Staron® was used as a hotel building façade with backlit optics that exhibited the magnificent translucent nature of the material. The Staron® clad hotel room doors surprised the guests with their handle-free door opening function that uses Radio Frequency Identification (RFID) key cards and Bluetooth Low Energy (BLE)-capable smartphones.
The minimalistic guest bathroom displayed thermoformed Staron® to create beautiful organic curves that around the bath tub surroundings and continued to the floors, walls and back up to the custom designed vanity.
This exhibition showed the versatility of Staron® and its ability to create a smooth finish in hotels so that is easy to clean and maintain. The continuous surface has no open joins, and is also non porous for added hygiene benefits.
Congratulations to Ursula Fuss for creating such a beautiful hotel space that is also functional in design.
