New to the INDE.Awards this year is The Photographer – Commercial, a category that showcases the exceptional talent of the photographers who reside within our region and document commercial projects in the sphere of architecture and design.

The Photographer – Commercial recognises the immense contribution that photographers bring to the architecture and design community, as well as the general community at large, through their work.

This category focuses on projects from the commercial sector and projects include educational facilities, workplaces, hotels and retail. Through his or her lens, the photographer helps bring a project alive and visualises the intention of the architects and designers with whom they work with.

Within the shortlist, each photographer tells their own story of a project. They lead us on a journey that documents spaces, places, buildings and interiors and the 12 shortlisted more than prove their talent and expertise.

As partner of The Photographer – Commercial, Image Makers Association Australia helps to promote and support photographers. As an organisation, it represents and supports professional and emerging photographers through education and industry connection and helps celebrate its members on every level.

The 12 shortlisted photographers in the inaugural The Photographer – Commercial category are,
