Join the INDE.Summit 2023 for a full day of free content that explores the future of architecture and design in the Indo-Pacific.
July 7th, 2023
Across the globe, the built environment is mobilising to set and meet ambitious targets on carbon. As a major contributor to climate change, the industry is moving to radically adapt to a future focused on sustainability. However, architecture and design has strides to make in order to meet this momentum and match it with their peers across the wider sector. With targets to meet and a widening field of sustainability to consider, what are the essential steps for architecture and design to be taking?
This INDE.Summit, have your questions on sustainability answered at the interactive panel, Sustainability – Architecture, Activism and Culture. Forming part of the wider program theme of “The Future is Here”, this session will examine the state of play for sustainability, asking how we can make innovations and improvements to the way we work to rapidly and radically respond to the demands of the environment and our society.
Join moderator Whare Timu (Warren & Mahoney) for a holistic and intersectional look at sustainability in 2023, where everything from circularity, materiality, resilience and social impact will form as part of this unmissable conversation. Timu will lead a panel of speakers consisting of Erin McDonald (Blaklash), Patrick Keane (Enter Projects Asia), Ka Wai Yeung (Kaunitz Yeung Architecture) and Sidhartha Talwar (Studio Lotus) in a diverse look at what sustainability means across the Indo Pacific and how it can and should be integrated into architecture and design outcomes.
Through the one hour session, you’ll understand sustainability through a lens of culture, identity, art and activism. This social matrix will challenge us to bring thoughtfulness and consideration to our practice in order to truly create spaces that sustain us.
As a fully digital session, Sustainability – Architecture, Activism and Culture, is free to attend and open to viewers across the globe. Attend this session or make a day of it with the INDE.Summit and look forward to how the future of architecture is set to unfold.
