Style and Substance: The Woven Image Way

Woven Image has done it again! ZEN and ION Embossed Panels are leading the way in style and substance as well as keeping those noise levels down…..

Style and Substance: The Woven Image Way

These days physical and acoustic privacy is paramount. With the immediate necessity to re-configure the interiors of our workplaces, it is now of greater importance to delineate spaces and create more intimate areas to sustain those working in the office. There is also the obligation to afford a feeling of safety and comfort for workers and Woven Image acoustic products are the perfect choice for an interior design installation and renovation.

Is there any wonder Woven Image is a leader in its field? As an example, take the latest products to be released, the ZEN and ION Embossed Panels. Inspired by Japonisme that favours a clean-lined and minimal aesthetic, this collection features two sophisticated patterns that would be at home in any workplace, hospitality venue, education facility or residence. However, add quality workmanship and impeccable sustainability credentials and these panels are an asset to every project.

The ION Embossed Panel explores the effect of multiple triangles that enjoin to make an intricate raised profile. The angled facets that occur from the geometric pattern provide light and shade, interest and texture and reference the shapes of origami and folded paper. ION’s design has a more organic look because of the crystalline formation of the shapes that form its bas-relief pattern and ION will become a fine feature and practical addition to any project.

The ZEN Embossed panel is a little more subdued with a rib pattern that is both subtle but impressive. The design of ZEN mimics the lines, curves and grooves of a Japanese Zen garden and evokes a sense of simplicity and calm. ZEN also echoes the idea of modern architectural materials with a corrugated surface detail and is reminiscent of timber slats, stainless steel batons, textured cement and plaster feature walls.

Both designs are available in several colourways that include deep onyx, duck egg blue, peach blush, vineyard green as well as a classic palette of neutrals such as pebble, frost and cream.

ZEN and ION Embossed Panel designs are made of 100 per cent PET (60 per cent recycled), are nine millimetres thick and measure 2800 millimetres by 1130 millimetres in length and width. The panels can be installed without a floor-to-ceiling join line and can be pattern-matched and installed double-height for design continuity.

Each product performs to commercial industry standards for interior wall linings and offers the acoustic benefit of reducing reverberated noise in shared spaces. Zen and Ion also boast excellent environmental credentials, including Global GreenTag (GreenRate Level A), and secure maximum sustainable product credits under Green Star and BCA Green Mark, and low VOC credits under WELL™ Building Standard and LEED v4.1.

Integrity is at the heart of the Woven Image offering and the ideals of sustainability are intrinsic within the brand – dematerialisation, upcycling and lifecycle management of products front of mind. An example of these initiatives is that since 2004, 4500 tonnes of PET have been recycled to make Woven Image products (that’s over 230 million 600ml plastic drink bottles that might have ended up in landfill!).

It’s not enough these days just to tick all the boxes for specifications, its mandatory for products to be aesthetically pleasing, environmentally sustainable and importantly do the fundamental job that is required. Woven Image understands all of this and is constantly working, designing and manufacturing to produce the very best acoustic solutions for today’s environment. ZEN and ION are two more products that embody best practice and raise the design bar even higher.
