“I’m pleased and honoured to be taking over the reins as National President of the Design Institute of Australia,” said Mr Harper this week, “I fundamentally believe in the need to provide a voice for the rapidly growing Australian design industry, and that the DIA can deliver this professionally, impartially and inclusively.”

As Australia’s only professional, multidisciplinary design organisation – the DIA serves to foster the local design community and improve the status of designers, having been formed in 1947.

Through its international affiliations, the DIA facilitates networking and dialogue for its members with designers in over 40 countries.
