Take a Break with the Nest Collection

With the modern world speeding up all the time, The Nest Collection asks us to take a moment to slow down and take a break.

In the face of changing workplaces, once in a while we need to slow down and take our time. We need to sit and contemplate life, and let the changing nature of things settle in. The Nest Collection, designed by Sweden’s Form Us with Love, embodies the concept of giving humanity a chance to take a break.

The Nest Collections challenges the conventions of the traditional lounge area through the introduction of a comfortable multi level seating arrangement; a new and very different typology that supports the increasing need of informal yet qualitative meeting and breakout zones.

The Collection is available in two heights and in both timber and metal leg finish

This refined collection explores an ongoing reassessment of open spaces. Triggered by the idea of gatherings, the Nest Collection plays with ideas of high and low, with seats perching on slim wood and steel legs in small clusters.

With the introduction of the Easy Nest, the series now also comprises a model that allows people to find their own space isolated from the surroundings.

“When extending the range, we wanted to add an unenclosed but somewhat secluded seat. The result is the new Easy Nest, a clean cut, high back armchair—a perfect covering, short of blocking your field of view” says John Löfgren, Founder and Creative Director at Form Us With Love.

The Nest Collection is available in Australia through Interstudio.

A-a-all right, STOP! Collaborate and Listen…

These may be the lyrics of a defamed 80s rapper but stopping to collaborate with, and listen to, your colleagues, is one of the best ways to improve productivity and creativity. And with the trend towards breakout zones in today’s offices, more of us are collaborating than ever before.

Jemena Melbourne, By Woods Bagot

In a world where technology and the ‘digiratti’ rule all, we all seem to have a strong need for making close online communities with the world at large – but how is this translating to the physical workplace, and by extension, their design? As with the new Jemena Melbourne HQ by Woods Bagot, is it possible to create a sense of familiarity in a space with five levels and 800+ people?
