Designed by Matthias Weber for Accademia, Scarlet is inspired by classical forms for a simple, versatile range of chairs, armchairs and barstools.
April 17th, 2012
The Scarlet Chair was first released at the Milan Furniture Fair in 2011, then relaunched as a complete collection at IMM Cologne where it took out the 2012 Interior Innovation Award.
Designer Matthias Webber has an impressive design pedigree, having worked with Hannes Wettstein of Vela collection fame for a number of years. Following Wettstein’s death in 2008, Webber continued to work for the late designer’s studio before establishing his own studio, ’This Weber’, in 2010.
The secret to Scarlet is in its wing back detail, which not only gives it a beautiful, classic aesthetic but allows it to be easily handled and stacked.
Available in both stackable and non stackable versions with a selection of upholstery options, the Scarlet Collection is perfect for all hospitality based applications.
