FDC 20th Anniversary

FDC celebrates their 20 years in a big red way

Promising - and delivering - a very special night, guests were asked to assemble at the Opera House forecourt on the evening of 20.10.2010. FDC had not revealed the venue, theme or entertainment, so the journey was something of a mystery experience for guests.

Two ferries docked at the Man-o-War Steps and nearly 500 guests boarded for the ride to the venue, enjoying drinks on board, a beautiful sunset and a circuitous route to keep everyone guessing.

Finally docking at Cockatoo Island, the guests were greeted by street performers, canapés, oyster bar and the rustic charm of the Turbine Hall. The doors opened to reveal a fantastic internal fitout, complete with an amazing light show, stage, games room, food stations, bars, large AV screens and an army of wait staff.

After brief formalities, during which Managing Director Ben Cottle thanked clients, project partners and staff, a Harley rode in with the first of a host of entertainers setting the tone for a high performance night of emerging and classic talent, including Justice Crew, Richard Clapton, Jon Stevens, Wendy Mathews, Dave Gleeson, Mark Gable and FDC’s own Elvis (Darren Attard).

National Marketing Manager Cornelius Hart relayed that response since the event has been overwhelming, with the only concern now being how FDC ramps up for their 25th year anniversary in 2015.
