Futurespace celebrated their 10th anniversary with a party for friends and industry members at their Sydney studio on Thursday 13 October.
November 17th, 2011
A message from futurespace:
2001 was a momentous year, with many significant events occurring during that 12 month period. John Howard was our Prime Minister, Australia celebrated the centenary of federation, George Bush became the 43rd president of the USA, Microsoft launched windows XP, digital TV was introduced to major state capitals in Australia, Ansett went into administration, terrorists attacked the World Trade Centre in New York, the first iPods and Apple stores appeared, Michael Schumacher won the F1 Drivers Championship (again!), our dollar was worth $US 49.84c and Indesign magazine celebrated its first birthday.
And in a leafy studio overlooking the harbour in North Sydney, futurespace was established. Founding Director Stephen Minnett remembers “we started futurespace because we were passionate about workplace and its evolution. We wanted to create a business that leveraged off our experience in this area and that provided intelligent, innovative solutions for our clients”.
Since that time the business has grown and evolved into the thriving practice it is today. With Directors Stephen Minnett and Angela Ferguson at its helm, futurespace has studios in Sydney and Melbourne undertaking work across Australia, New Zealand and Asia. The talented and collaborative team recently celebrated their 10 year milestone by inviting guests to the Sydney studio to enjoy great food, great wine and great company (with just a little bit of magic).
Whilst there were some initial concerns about floor loadings being able to support the number of people in attendance, these thankfully proved to be unfounded. Sydney turned on a perfect spring evening and the celebrations lasted until well into the night.
