226 Victoria Street will soon be home to Omnia, prestige residential apartments in Sydney’s Potts Point, a transformation by global property developer, Greenland.
November 20th, 2015
Comprising 135 high-end apartments, the delivery of Omnia will see a collaboration of leading design firms, including exterior design by local Sydney architects, Durbach Block Jaggers who were appointed as successful proponent in a design competition, along with interiors by award-winning interior designers, SJB Interiors.
Complementing Victoria Street’s streetscape, Omnia will showcase a striking design, with architectural features that accentuate the site’s prime peninsula-shape, and maximise exposure and aspect to its views.
Reflecting the building’s crossways location, Omnia will feature an elegant hourglass shape, creating a grand entrance to the suburb of Potts Point, and allowing for the largest apartments to be positioned within the upper and lower levels of the building. Four penthouses ranging from 239-323sqm will be available, all dual-level, from Level 19, the highest level of the building.
One of Omnia’s key points of difference is that half of the apartments will be dual-level with both levels offering an alternate facing aspect to the east and west, with floor-to-ceiling glass walls capturing maximum city and harbour views.
Greenland Australia Managing Director Sherwood Luo said Omnia is set to become one of Sydney’s most in-demand residential addresses showcasing design integrity. “Residents will enter Omnia from Victoria Street via a beautiful and opulent entrance lobby with soft-grey marble, fluted timber and champagne silver leaf,” said Mr Luo. “With ground level retail to include designer boutiques, gourmet retailers, a proposed top-tier restaurant, anchored by a Woolworths supermarket, Omnia residents will have a huge array of conveniences as well as hospitality, entertainment and lifestyle retailers that inner-city living provides,” he said.
Interiors by SJB will feature ‘super luxe’ grade finishes offered in two colour schemes of blue marble and shades of soft greys, or Giallo marble and washed earthy tones, Miele appliances and detailing inspired by the building’s exterior design. SJB Interiors Director Kirsten Stanisich said Omnia’s apartment interiors will allow the residents to create a comfortable, inviting home environment complementing the abundant natural light that permeates the building.
The thoughtful design of Omnia means the building will make the most of the Sydney skyline, with every apartment capturing panoramic views of the Sydney CBD to the north and harbour views over Elizabeth Bay, Watsons Bay and South Head to the east. Furthermore many of Sydney’s famous icons and landmarks will be captured by these apartments including St Mary’s Cathedral, The Domain, Sydney Tower, Mrs Macquarie Chair, the Opera House, Sydney Harbour Bridge, Sydney Harbour, North, Middle and South Heads and Rushcutters Bay.
