1. Uber and Audis will be dominating transport

As well as complimentary hop-on/hop-off shuttlebuses running in continuous loops around each design precinct, Uber and Audis will be the transport of choice for those who want to get around on their own terms.

Uber have kindly offered new users a free UberBLACK ride, up to $20. To get started, just download the Uber App and use the code ‘MID14’ when booking your sleek Uber ride. For something even more sophisticated, keep an eye out for the fleet of Melbourne Indesign Audis. If you see one, just flag it down and you’ll get a VIP transfer between venues.

2. You can win prizes 

Most exhibitors will be running a variety of competitions to win a range of prizes – from amazing designer furniture to the latest state of the art appliances.

For keen prize lovers, visit the Ftzroy + Collingwood precint and ensure you receive stamps from each of the exhibiting locations as part of the ‘Walk the Woods’ competition. This will put you in the draw to win amazing prizes put forward by each exhibitor in the precinct.

3. The Galleria brings design exhibition to the next level

The Galleria at Melbourne Indesign will be an immersive, open-plan design experience across multiple storeys in the Melbourne CBD design precinct.

This year’s theme ‘Inception’ is sure to spark inspiration from the most creative minds in design. Visit Galleria and take your time in an exploratory space populated with a lively mixture of brands, product launches, project installations and interactive events, an immersive journey taking in over 1,000 square metres of design curation.

4. Getting around is totally easy

6. There will be industry talks

Hosted by Indesign Assitant Editor Lorenzo Logi,  Indesign Indiscussion will be a platform for leading architects and designers  to reveal to the audience their vision for major commercial projects.

In celebration of Victoria’s creativity, the Australian Architecture Association will present a Short Black Talk by Melbourne architect Sean Godsell, which will showcase the RMIT designhub building.
