The new board members announced today will help drive “greater industry engagement and collaboration with the entire supply chain across the Australian property and construction industry”.

The new GBCA Directors are:

  • Tanya Cox, Executive General Manager, Property Services and Chief Operating Officer, DEXUS Property Group
  • John Flecker, Chief Executive Officer, Brookfield Multiplex Australasia
  • Mark Gray, Managing Director, Leighton Properties
  • Rob Sindel, Chief Executive Officer and Managing Director, CSR Limited
  • Mark Steinert, Managing Director and Chief Executive Officer, Stockland.

The new members of the GBCA Board of Directors will be formally welcomed at the GBCA Board meeting in October.  Leighton Properties’ Andrew Borger has recently retired from the GBCA Board and will be followed at the AGM in December by several other Directors who will be stepping down after a long service to the industry.

GBCA Chair, Daniel Grollo, said the new board members bring additional depth and influence to the experienced board.

“The GBCA’s Board of Directors reflects the strength and diversity of Australia’s green building movement, and represents all facets of the industry, including construction companies and sub-contractors, professional services firms, building owners, product manufacturers and financial organisations.

“The Board of Directors sets the strategic direction of our organisation, and provides active support for a range of committees and taskforces.

“I would also like to thank Andrew Borger for his many years of service on the GBCA Board.  Andrew has been a vocal and passionate advocate of green building in Queensland and nationally, and his exemplary leadership has helped us to transform the market,” Mr Grollo says.

“We look forward to capitalising on the talents and experience of our new board members, who will amplify our message that green buildings and sustainable communities and cities can deliver economic, social and environmental benefits to all Australians,” Mr Grollo adds.
