A talented group of Melbourne designers exhibited in a satellite exhibition in Milan this April during Salone del Mobili in April 2008 as part of the Melbourne Fringe furniture festival.
Melbourne designer Sandy Imeson was part of the act and his beautiful ’Hatch’ bowl designs were a hit with the world.
Resembling delicate birds nests, each bowl is randomly hand woven from 100% recycled fused steel and recycled street sweeper brush bristles. Available in white and black, the bowls come in various sizes.
Sandy was the winner of the Sustainablity Prize by Banyule City Council in 2006, and since returning from Milan this month, he is in line for a lot more to come.
