Temporarily located at a purpose-built space on Little Collins Street Melbourne, the aim of this project is to act as a social incubator for sustainable thinking and awareness - encouraging inquiry, involvement and most importantly action.
On show at Eat Green Design will be a unique collection of products transformed from discarded possions into treasured pieces. Curated by Before and After in collaboration with designers, this exhibition is sure to challenge the thoughts and values of visitors.
The focus for Exhibitors was sustainability and our environmental responsibilities, challenging the modern throwaway culture, and the possibilities of re-use and recycle. Further collections of sustainable products from independent designers from around Australia will also be available to view and purchase.
Attendees to this five day event running from the 17th – 21st July will hear discussions from an impressive panel of speakers including John Eussen, Andrew Partos, Peter Ho and controversial philosopher Professor Peter Singer.
Discussions will concentrate on sustainability in relation to consumption, food, design and architecture. Guests can ‘Eat Green’ literally thanks to renowned catering company freshfork.com, who are providing a smorgasbord of raw and organic foods sure to excite the senses.
