Re-furbished restaurant by Bates Smart re-opens in Sydney
November 20th, 2007
Designed by Bates Smart and launched on Friday 2 November, Rockpool (fish) is the latest culinary offering from Neil Perry and Trish Richards.
Formerly known as Rockpool, famous as one of Sydney’s finest dining establishments for over 18 years, the restaurant received an extensive re-vamp by Australia’s oldest Architectural firm, Bates Smart, and was reopened at The Rocks on George Street in November.
While custom-designed furnishings and new lighting set a stylish mood, the eye-catching graphics and photographic mural were created by Earl Carter and Mahon & Brand, and specifically fit the space.
The Oyster Bar provides glimpses into an open kitchen, and now offers patrons greater control over their dining experience, with the opportunity to design their own menu.
Rockpool (fish)’s partner restaurant, Rockpool Melbourne, was also designed by Bates Smart.
