Australia welcomes its first ’Design Hotel’ – The Limes Hotel in Brisbane, designed by Alexander Lotersztain.
June 30th, 2008
The Limes Hotel officially opened in June, in Fortitude Valley, Brisbane, as the only hotel in the country to be a member of the German-based ’Design Hotels’ group.
Inspired by The Valley’s natural surroundings, the hotel has been designed by Queensland’s omnipresent design star, Alexander Lotersztain.
The result is a stunning 21-room urban retreat. The stunning front façade demands attention from the street, comparable to a rock-climbing wall, and the facilities include tapas bar, coffee shop, business facilities, open air roof-top bar and cinema.
Hotels in the esteemed ’Design Hotels’ group are all independently owned, but are united by a commitment to individuality and unique design.
