Architect, Stefano Tagliacarne, has developed the stunning interior design for the brand new Fritz Hansen showroom in Milan.
August 5th, 2008
The new Fritz Hansen showroom in Milan is the perfect stage for the Danish brand’s colourful collections – displayed on a 340 square meter surface divided into three levels.
Designed by celebrated architect, Stefano Tagliacarne, the showroom has various missions: to communicate the rich history of the Danish brand and its famous collections, to emphasize the brand image imprinted by the masterpieces of Arne Jacobsen and Poul Kjaerholm and to express the values of Danish culture in relation to the Italian context.
These premises led Stefano Tagliacarne to design an informal exhibition space where the design collections are the true protagonists.
He has minimised any kind of additional decoration, emphasising textures, finishes and natural features of the structural elements of the space as well as the exposed products, which, in that way, become decorative elements themselves.
The wooden wall, set up in a spectacular way with “Series 7” chairs by Arne Jacobsen, becomes an extra exhibition area and a visual guideline from the entrance throughout the whole space and levels. Simply stunning.
The Fritz Hansen collection is available in Australian exclusively through Corporate Culture.
