Maxton Fox launch a uniquely breathable chair at Saturday in Design.
June 29th, 2010
Hot on the heels of their newly formed partnership with RH Seating Scandinavia, Maxton Fox are launching the Ambio Chair onto the Australian market at this year’s Saturday in Design.
Manufactured by RH Seating and designed by Zenit Design, this task chair is designed for the sedentary, with a strong focus on human interaction and use whilst maintaining a distinct and bold aesthetic.
Ergonomically the Ambio is second to none – over 25 years of RH ergonomic data and testing has gone into this chair.
User temperature and ventilation is also key to the design and a factor all too often neglected by competitors.
The Ambio seat pad contains “Ventec” – RH’s unique natural material that is breathable, environmentally friendly and biodegradable.
The Ambio is not only ventilated to maintain a consistent temperature, but it helps you sit “properly” as a result of feeling more comfortable in your seat.
“At RH, we have our own unique philosophy of ergonomics that recognises the importance of maintaining both upright posture and active sitting,” says Ulf Magnussen from RH Seating.
“An upright posture improves breathing and blood circulation, while motion stimulates the muscles.”
The backrest has been designed to lend support to the user and relieve stress all the way up the spine to the shoulders.
The seat’s form provides good support and stress relief with a waterfall edge that minimises pressure on the underside of your legs.
RH Ambio is environmentally friendly right down to the smallest component. The entire product is 100% recyclable.
