July 4th, 2014
Embedded deeply in Smeg’s DNA is a desire to develop appliances that contribute to a better quality of life and bring joy for their aesthetic beauty and it’s a passion that is on-going.
As a family-owned company, we are able to respond quickly to the needs and wants of our customers by developing new technologies to meet the needs of our changing lifestyles.
Over the past year, Smeg has introduced over 70 new products into the market place, all of which will respond to a call for a particular.
To answer the call of increased water savings, Smeg introduced Australia’s first 6 Star WELS rated dishwasher, with the freestanding DWA315X model achieving the top score in Choice’s most recent dishwasher survey and is a ‘Recommended By Choice’ product.
More energy-savings are on their way with vertical burner technology featured in Smeg’s new black and white enamel Linear cooktops.
To aid our busier lifestyles, Smeg has developed new hybrid technology for the Professional Series dishwashers, which convert from a 4 Star energy efficient machine to a 5kW powerhouse when required, producing Australia’s fastest full-load, full-pressure wash in just 16 minutes.
To answer the call for large-capacity, easier, cleaner cooking, Smeg introduced the 90cm Thermoseal pyrolytic oven with 4 shelves of practical cooking height.
For indoor/outdoor living Smeg developed full stainless steel BBQs with a choice of hooded lid or flat lid and the cleanest fat removal system available.
At Eurocucina this year in Milan, Smeg announced the introduction of over 120 new products in the pipeline with global patents pending
in cooking and dishwashing.
And with ongoing collaborations with Italy’s foremost architects and design consortiums such as Lapo Elkann’s Italia Independent, with whom Smeg worked to develop the Denim and the Fiat-fronted Smeg 500 fridge, be prepared to be dazzled by what’s to come.
