Teuco’s Outline bathtub designed by Carlo Colombo was bestowed the Interior Innovation Award – Winner 2013, the prestigious international design award.
January 10th, 2014
This award follows on from the ‘Red Dot Award: Product Design 2012’ and it testifies to Teuco’s profound vocation for design and unwavering commitment to pursuing and developing unique solutions that combine design with functionality. It is yet another accomplishment for Teuco to be proud of. The company has masterminded the development and evolution of the bathroom for over 40 years, transforming it into an open setting, to be enjoyed and shown off at 360°.
The Outline rectangular free-standing bathtub enhances the beauty of irregularity: indeed, its distinguishing trait, are the edges which stand out asymmetrically from the material, in an apparently casual motion, like flowing water. An expression of force and texture, Outline is a bathtub featuring light and dynamic equilibriums which defines an idea of a bathroom with a strong and highly contemporary personality. Its styling appeal is ensured by the expressive potential of Duralight®, the patented solid surface composite material, that is 100% pliable, conceived, produced and processed exclusively by Teuco, which not only ensures maximum versatility and customisation possibilities, but also affords unexpected sensations, enhancing the well-being achieved through contact with water.
Available in white Duralight® and lacquered in 32 different colours with infinite customisation possibilities, as well as in natural wood, the bathtub can also feature the exclusive Hydroline patent, a world record: the first invisible whirlpool thanks to the new patented system where the classic nozzles have been replaced by minimalist slits which do not disrupt the continuity of the material. Technology becomes sophisticated and concealed for a new everyday experience with a strong emotional impact: minimal and refined, these slits also feature a cutting-edge Cromoexperience system, which back-lights them in eight different colours. In addition, Hydroline guarantees the same standard efficiency and noiselessness as a classic Teuco whirlpool.
The Outline collection benefits from Teuco’s Unlimited service which, thanks to the extreme pliability of Duralight®, enables the creation of unlimited bespoke solutions precision-engineered to the nearest centimetre, including out-of-square.
