Prototype is at the forefront of commercial furniture manufacturing and supply for the hospitality, accommodation, corporate and government/institutional markets. The company’s culture is dedicated to delivering superior service, quality products, and most importantly value, beyond expectations.

“Our clients are dedicated to creating unique products requiring product flexibility and quick turnaround. We’re acutely aware of the need to supply our clients with adaptable, quality furniture, at competitive rates, often at short notice” says General Manager Dan Morahan. A key factor in delivering these outcomes is Prototype’s policy of manufacturing most of its products in Australia, allowing designers to work directly with the manufacturer and be involved in every step of the process.

“We [Prototype] want to encourage and inspire designers to bring their designs to life”, explains Morahan.  The aim of ‘From Paper to Prototype’ videos is to demonstrate the process of building commercial custom furniture while providing the industry with best practice tips. This leads to enhanced furniture design, innovation, durability, function and comfort whilst showcasing the high quality craftsmanship and skills of Australian carpenters, upholsterers and metal workers.
