The new chair designed by Sergio Bicego for Saba Italia is named after the city that never sleeps.
July 1st, 2013
“Italian through-and-through”, Sergio Bicego explores nuanced colours and unique shapes in his designs, through simplicity. The New York Chair for Saba Italia is a new release by Bicego -available locally through Insitu.
New York is described by Saba Italia as being an eclectic chair that carries the name of the Big Apple with pride. Embodying “an uptown attitude mingled with a downtown spirit”, New York offers an endearing versatility with completely interchangeable upside-down upholstery.
The varnished rod structure is offered in a variety of colours which is in turn offset by a reversible, octagonal, cushion forming the main support.
Embracing its unconventional lines, the chair remains versatile enough for application in a variety of different spaces. Your choice in upholstery for the cushions, further enhances the individuality of your chair.
Complete with removable covers and also outdoor ranges available, this ever evolving piece , through its frames, leather and reversible cushions becomes a character-field expression of the city that never sleeps.
