Yellow Diva brings us the second instalment in the M Series – the MS1 sofa.
August 26th, 2009
The popularity of Yellow Diva’s playful ‘MC1’ armchair has seen it climb to the top of their range, with first stock sold straight off the showroom floor. In response, the furniture design studio has now introduced the second piece in the M Series – the ‘MS1’ sofa.
Unveiled at this year’s Design:Made:Trade fair – part of Victoria’s Sate of Design Festival in July – the ‘MS1’ expands upon the seductive form of the ‘MC1’ armchair.
The two-seater sofa (also available in a 2.5-seater) explores the same uncomplicated East-meets-West aesthetic – with tactile, oversized industrial felt buttons, classic woollen upholstery, and solid plantation-grown American oak legs.
Successfully borrowing from a number of design traditions, the collection appeals to all ages and incorporates designs for a chaise longue and ottoman – offering a relaxed, stylish alternative.
The M Series is offered in a palette of five untreated yarns with your choice of cream or black buttons and the option of white, green, blue or red button cord. The entire range may also be upholstered in nubuck leather.
However, the true beauty of the M Series is in its welcoming comfort, enticing you to curl up in its open arms to read and relax, and with the new MS1, you can now curl up side-by-side.
The MS1 sofa is available through Yellow Diva in 100% wool for RRP $3,440 + GST.
