Miele displays its green credentials at Sydney’s Greenhouse.
February 18th, 2011
Last week we featured Joost Bakker’s Greenhouse project in Sydney – an eco-eatery devoted to sustainable practices.
Joost and his team have chosen to use Miele appliances in the kitchen set up – including Miele induction cooktops, built-under rangehoods, refrigerators, TepanYaki grills, induction woks, freezer and dishwasher.
Miele appliances were selected for the set up for their energy-saving properties. Miele refrigeration appliances draw so little electricity that Greenhouse requires only 5 freestanding refrigerators and 1 freezer to fulfil its needs.
Greenhouse also uses a water and electricity-saving Miele W 3933 WPS washing machine and a T 8627 heat pump dryer with a 6 star energy efficiency rating for on-site laundering of kitchen linen.
Responsibility and sustainability have always been key to Miele’s company philosophy, and the presence of its products in Sydney’s Greenhouse by Joost serves as further recognition to Miele’s commitment to durable, innovative and energy-efficient design.
