Instyle has released two new print designs to their Ecoustic® range, a sophisticated and innovative collection of panel, screen and tile products designed to provide superior sound absorption and superior pinability.
September 17th, 2015
The Plus range is the result of a continued collaboration between Michael Young and the Instyle Design Studio, following on from the success of Ecoustic® Prints Tri, Disc and Meta. Pushing the boundaries of mathematics, a specialised interactive software was used to generate abstract motifs through the alteration of data output. The Plus pattern was created with over 50,000 intersections and harmonised by hand to provide a random yet balanced full panel repeat.
Responding to the beauty of natural unfinished surfaces, the Instyle Design Studio created Raw, a restrained and subtle textured print associated more commonly with hard surfaces. The juxtaposition of a weathered texture onto a soft textile surface provides a unique acoustic solution while retaining an industrial patina. Working with photographic imagery of bricks and stones the design was simplified with filters to a single colour effect and manipulated into a repeating yet random flowing textured design. Raw’s random textural design will seamlessly blend from one panel to the next and has been designed with ease of installation in mind.
Available on Ecoustic® Panel 8mm, Plus and Raw acoustic panels are made in Australia from over 50% recycled PET, are low VOC and Greentag Level A certified.
