Velux Australia has introduced a new blind to its product range, the Honeycomb Blind. The Honeycomb Blind offers a stylish solution to skylight shading, as well as helping to reduce heat transference.

The special double-layered pleat forms the namesake honeycomb structure of the blind, which makes it “the most attractive blind on the market,” says Stephen Parry, Technical Advisor, at Velux Australia. The Honeycomb Blind achieves an uninterrupted profile when retracted through an incorporating of hidden cords and slim profile rails.

“The Honeycomb Blind may be soft in appearance, but it’s tough on light and heat,” adds Stephen. Blocking some 95% of light when closed, the Honeycomb Blind darkens a room while providing a soft glow making them perfect for living rooms, kitchens or bathrooms. Around 80% of heat is already blocked by typical velux Skylights, but with the addition of the Honeycomb Blind, the remaining heat can be reduced by 60%.
