Esse has been designed to recall an iconic, continuous sign, the “S”, visible in the seat profile. This curved design creates a welcoming, curvaceous and harmonious design. Solid ash legs support the Esse shell, which is available in Pianca’s wide range of fabrics and leathers.
Designer Philippe Tabet was born in Versailles, France and has lived and worked in Milan for a number of years. Driving his designs is the joint influence of his two cultures, born into and adopted. Philippe Tabet draws his passion for hand drawing from his French origins and history and melds this with an industrial background from his adoptive country of Italy. Tabet has worked for BETC Design in Paris and fellow Pianca designer Odoardo Fioravanti in Milan before establishing his own studio in 2013, based in Milan.
Designed and manufactured in Gaiarine Italy, the entire Pianca range offers catered and modern options for furniture, wardrobes and cabinetry. Specialists in well-designed and engineered products, the 65 year old company values and prides itself on its design integrity, actively collaborating with established designers as well as its in-house design team to create innovative interior products and solutions.
Meizai is the exclusive distributor of Pianca in Australia, including the Esse collection, and includes its innovative and beautiful Italian made products in its collection of international design brands.
