Reece presents Alape Tangens; a stunning new range of designer basins set to arrive in Australia later this year for the first time, following their successful debut appearance at ISH, the world’s leading bathroom exhibition held bi-annually in Frankfurt, Germany.
August 22nd, 2011
This beautiful range takes its cues from the human body with the basin emulating the curve of a woman’s back. The Tangens basins play tricks on the eyes, where from a distance they appear as deep inset, but are in fact stunning shallow washplane basins.
Since pioneering glassed steel enamelling for basins in the 1920s Alape has gone on to become a world leader in the development of this technology. The Tangens range is made from Alape’s signature glassed enamel steel, which goes through a triple firing process to guarantee a perfect finish. Made with German engineering precision, the basins are available as inset, under-counter or semi-inset.
The Alape Tangens range was designed by Canadian born, London based, acclaimed architect and designer, Yorgo Lykouria who wanted to re-assess the concept of the basin by capturing the poetry of washing your hands. The highly anticipated Alape Tangens range was showcased by Reece at Saturday in design in Sydney, August 20 at Bathroom Life, Surry Hills.
