Maruni loves a good collaboration. One of the most striking has been their work with SANAA to create the armless chair.
October 11th, 2011
Created for the Nextmaruni 12 Chair museum collection, the armless chair creates an appealing visual effect with its rabbit ear-shaped back.
Featured prominently in many of SANAA’s projects, including the 12th International Architectural Exhibition at the Venice Biennale in 2010, the armless chair is the work of Pritzker Prize-winning architects and directors of SANAA, Kazuyo Seijima and Ryue Nishizawa.

The chair is available in Australia through Seeho Su.
“It’s a highly versatile and comfortable piece, and ideal for a variety of applications” says Joyce Seeho, Director of Seeho Su.

“I’ve often observed that people’s first impressions are that the chair is quite delicate, and too small to sit on. But they’re always pleasantly surprised, as the chair is very strong and surprisingly comfortable.”
The armless chair is available in 7 colours – beech, yellow, off-white, dark grey, brown, green and even hot pink.
