A special edition of 1OO handmade bangles by artist designer Simone LeAmon
August 14th, 2012
Possibly the most quintessential piece of “Aussie” jewellery designed to date: Simone LeAmon’s Bowling Arm was presented a decade ago, reprising the humble cricket ball as a piece of wearable art.
Thinly sliced, leather outer-layers of the hand and machine hewn cricket ball became intriguing bangles that as worn, would tarnish and develop a character unique to each.
In celebrating the enduring popularity of Bowling Arm, LeAmon has released a limited edition collection of bangles that reference the original collection.
Limited Over is comprised of two models, endearingly titled: ’Grubber’ and ’Popper’ – bowling terms rooted in the lexicon of cricket.
Offered in three sizes, with the choice of casting in stainless steel or bronze, the irregularity and roughness of the cricket ball’s seam contrast wonderfully with the highly polished finishes.
