July 13th, 2011
How did the company start?
Cavalier Bremworth has been making carpet for more than 50 years using 100% sustainable New Zealand wool. The company has a history of firsts – the first to be awarded use of the Woolmark in 1964, the first carpetmaker to have an internationally recognised eco-label across its entire range in 2006, and the first to have an international ethics accreditation in 2009 from GoodCorporation UK. Read the full story here.
Where do you distribute?
Our major markets are Australia and New Zealand, but also to the US, Canada, UK and China. Available at more than 500 carpet retailers in Australia.
Describe your customers.
Our residential buyers are predominantly female home-owners who seek a quality, sustainable product that will last and look great on the floor for many years to come. Our commercial clients range from architects and designers working on everything from high-end residential, through to hospitality, independent living villages, retail and corporate office environments.
What sets your company apart?
We specialise in broadloom wool carpet and have the biggest range on the market of any carpet maker. We aim to make products which are unique and hard to copy.
What are your clients’ priorities at the moment?
Quality, sustainability and environmental credentials, value for money and finding a carpet with a design point of difference.
What is good design to you?
Good design is something that will stand the test of time, and is satisfying years after you purchase it, not just the very next day.
What does the future hold?
If we answered this, we’d be giving the game away…
