Visitors to this year’s designEX will be treated to the latest products from Australian furniture manufacturer and designer Evostyle, launched in 2011 and set to make its mark on the Australian market.

Evostyle’s story begins 30 years ago, with co-founder Luke Ommundson working in the family woodturning business with his father.

The company’s history was marked with highlights. They were entrusted in 1994 to produce the 17,000 intricately designed torches that carried the Olympic flame around the world for the Athens Olympic Games.

This is just one of the successes that inspired Luke Ommundson to launch Evostyle in collaboration with his architect wife Louise, to combine craftsmanship, the latest technology and sustainable methods to create unique furniture designs.

Evostyle works with leading architects, specifiers and industrial and interior designers, producing bespoke pieces across a range of projects – commercial, retail, hospitality and residential – for both indoor and outdoor use.

Designs by Luke and Louise for Evostyle include modern takes on traditional styles, and popular Scandinavian-inspired pieces.

The company also supports emerging young designers making their mark in the design forum, currently producing 2011 Launch Pad winner Jonathon Logan’s ’de Sade’ table (supported by Living Edge) and the 2011 Bombay Sapphire Award-winning ’A-Joint’ table by Henry Wilson.

Discover Evostyle’s full range and depth at their website – and visit their stand 324 at designEX, Hall 1 from 14 to 16 May to see their brand new furniture designs up close.
