Scandinavian guests at SiD: Emilio Marisei and Ulf Magnusson.
July 29th, 2009
As part of their Saturday in Design (SiD) celebrations the Iken and Maxton Fox showrooms will be welcoming international guests from Scandinavian Business Seating, responsible for the HÅG, RH and RBM brands.
Ulf Magnusson and Emilio Marisei are visiting Australia to promote their latest products including the ‘FUTU’ chair from HÅG and the Ambio series of fully recyclable chairs from RH.
Marisei is excited to be among the Australian designs on show at SiD, “It seems to me that Australians have always had an appreciation of Scandinavian design, which is very exciting for us as we launch our latest products to the Australian market.”
The FUTU chair is, in many ways, a revelation in task seating. The design does away with visible levers and handles, producing clean lines and an aesthetic uncharacteristic of most office seating.
“We are excited that SiD will mark the launch of HÅG Futu into the design and project market… we have high expectations that it will be well received by the Australian design community as well. HÅG Futu marks the future.”
Both international guests are energized by the prospects of the Australian market and their partnerships with Iken and Dal: “We really like coming to Australia, despite the long trip,” says Emilio. “The people we meet here, their professionalism and enthusiasm for our concepts are inspiring and rewarding.”
You can meet Emilio and Ulf at the Iken and Maxton Fox showrooms on Saturday, and at invitation-only events on +Friday. The innovative new FUTU and AMBIO chairs will also be on display.
