Known in the blogosphere as 'Archi-ninja', you might say Linda Bennett is a superhero of the architecture and design industry.
By day, Bennett is hard at work at Architectus, focussing her attention on the 1 Bligh Street Project. By night, her alter ego comes out to blog under the pseudonym ‘Archi-ninja’.
“My workplace and family often compare my personal and professional qualities to that of the Ninja”, which is how her journalistic persona was born.
What started out as a university project quickly turned into far more than a student pastime with Bennett now boasting some 300 visits a day from surfers looking to keep up-to-date with the latest in the design and architecture world.
“I'm always looking for new projects, collaboration opportunities and ideas; anything that stimulates a genuine response and creativity. Crazy hours and architecture seem to go hand in hand.”
With regular news updates and insightful articles on say – ‘examples of adaptive reuse’, the Archi-ninja offers plenty of food for thought for industry professionals and architecture addicts.
“Managing my projects is always the tough element of what i do; Architecture, being a student and blogging is both a qualitative and quantitative process – which means it is very hard to define the beginning and end.”
