Award-winning designer Vessi Ivanova has joined the specialist lighting team at Northrop Consulting Engineers.

Northrop Consulting Engineers welcomes Vessi Ivanova as the newly appointed manager of their boutique Specialist Lighting Design Services Group.
Ivanova is recognised as one of the most influential lighting design consultants in the business, with over 21 years of experience. Vessi will drive Northrop’s brand-new Lighting Design Studio, combining expertise, design savvy and management skills to create innovative and efficient lighting solutions.
Some of Vessi’s previous work includes projects for Qantas, Westpac and IBM (Commercial), Carnival Australia, Star City Casino, Joan Sutherland Performing Art Studio (Entertainment) and Chatswood Chase, Hugo Boss and Capalaba Shopping Centre (Retail).
Ivanova is currently president of the Illuminating Engineering Society (NSW Chapter), a former senior designer for Webb Australia and a former Design Director at NDYLIGHT in Sydney.
She has worked on many projects acclaimed and awarded for their lighting design and most recently led the team awarded the 2010 IES NSW Commendation Lighting Design Award for her work on Airport Drive, Sydney and IBM Cumberland Forest, Town Centre.
In June 2011, Ivanova’s lighting installation is on display at 43 George Street Sydney as part of the annual Vivid Festival.
