An amazing showcase of porcelain, some of the best food and design magazines in Milan, all under one roof. The wall of plates was an awe inspiring installation.

Yamagiwa is a Japanese lighting manufacturer taking the minimalist aesthetic to new heights with some lovely pieces by Lovegrove, and the 'Swell' light by Paul Cocksedge.

Breaking from the solely Starck range - XO have introduced the work of Karim Rashid to their collection for 2009.

Swedese presented a new lounge and trolley table from Sweden's CKR.

New innovative concepts from students and young designers across the globe. Japan had a huge presence this year.

A lovely new stackable chair by Konstantin Grcic, embarking on a very different aesthetic to his previous work for Plank.

Rosana Orlandi Space - Jaime Hayon's Crystal Candy Set for french crystal company Bacarrat. Combining crystal and porcelain with the tradition of the company.

One of the bigger offerings of new product at the fair, Moroso presented new pieces by Yoshioka and Urquiola along side their collaboration with Diesel denim.

Extremis once again showed off the circular 'Kosmos' lounge.

One of the most amazing things about the Salone is walking around the incredible Rho Fiera building by Fuksas.

Artemide were part of Euroluce 2009 at Milan, presenting a range of wall, floor and pendant lighting.

Davide Groppi

Davide Groppi presented a number of intriguing lights including 'levitating' glowing cones.

The Bourrollec Brothers have created a simple panel system with this fabrics company allowing varied forms and colour to divide space.

Arper introduce a range of chairs, sofas and tables including the 'Sean' and 'Nuur'.

Casamania

Casamania have a range of seating and storage on show.


Cappellini

Cappellini

Cappellini present the new stool from Adam Goodrum's 'stitch' range as well as new products from Mr. Giulio Cappellini and Nendo.

Fritz Hansen

Fritz Hansen

Fritz Hansen presents the Series 7 chair in new colours, while Japanese designer Hiromichi Konno has created the 'RIN' for their 2009 collection (also on show).

Dixon is presenting his 'UTILITY' collection in Superstudio with a hand made industrial feel.

Moooi are presenting a range of furniture and lighting in Milan, with a group of French maids keeping things clean around the stands.

A new range by British designers Fredrikson Stallard for American company, Bernhardt Design. The 'Hyde' chair is the designers' first foray into production furniture.

A new concept brand by Dutch designer, Jurgen Bey, 'Prooff' is a collection of office furniture (both new and old) exploring new perspectives in office design.

David Trubridge

David Trubridge presents his 'trilogy of light' - designs based on a philosophy of Moari Mythology at Superstudio Piu - the 'KETE' series, 'TANIKO LIGHTS' and 'CRADLE'.
