The colours of the spectrum unite for Barnardos charity.
September 29th, 2009
It’s a case of fashion meets industrial design and an explosion of colour for the upcoming Young Peter Pan Committee Colour Ball.
The YPPC are an sub-group of the Bardnardos Australia children’s charity, aimed at rasing funds within the young adult demographic to support Barnardos in their mission to improve child welfare.
The group thought it was about time colour took to the stage, and so selected six fashion designer and six industrial designers to create bespoke pieces in six colours: yellow, blue, green, red, pink and purples.
These colours were chosen to work with six Mooi chandeliers at the Ivy Room where the YPPC will hold a ‘Colour Ball’ fundraiser later this month. Each colour, with outfit and product side-by-side, will be placed under the matching chandelier and will be auctioned off on the night of the ball.
The fasion and industrial designers and their colours are:
Green
Jade Michelle | Andrew Simpson
Blue
Yellow
Konstantina Mittas | Nick Karlovasitis and Sarah Gibson
Pink
Shilo Engelbrecht | Adam Goodrum
Purple
