Australian design agency THERE has scooped a prestigious MERIT Award at the global 2014 Society of Experiential Graphic Design (SEGD) Awards.
June 23rd, 2014
Of the 412 entries from firms spanning the globe, 32 projects were recognised, with THERE the only Australian firm honoured in the Experiential Branding category with a unique 20m long, heritage timeline installation at 3M Australia’s headquarters, located in Sydney.
The SEGD Jury panel noted; “What’s remarkable about this wall is that it’s a timeline that showcases the history of the company through the evolution of its brand. It presents 3M’s history through a coherent and timeless treatment that is subtle yet remarkable. It’s the brevity and quietness that make this solution so effective.”
The Award represents the third time THERE and its Directors have been awarded by SEGD, the most respected body and globally recognised awards program in the world for design firms that work at the intersection of brand and the built environment.
‘Recognition by SEGD is the highest honour you can receive when you work in this specialised branded experience field, so we’re delighted by this award’ said Paul Taboure – Director, THERE.
’The big-idea came whilst exploring the 3M archives where we unearthed over a hundred years of iconic Minnesota, Mining & Manufacturing (hence 3M) brand marks that signified important chapters in the organisation’s history.’
THERE is one of Australia’s leading creative design agencies with a core focus on creating branded experiences for the built environment, working with blue chip clients, property developers, architects and interior designers.
With studios in Australia and Singapore, THERE is currently working on a range of branded experience projects including Google offices in India, Singapore & Philippines and a forensics campus for the Australian Federal Police in Canberra.
