The media has turned social, and so has Qdos. Aiming to boost its coverage and attract a broader range of creative talent, the multidisciplinary Queensland Design on Show awards have released their 2009 online program titled “unleashed”.

Initiated and hosted by the Design Institute of Australia (Queensland Branch), Qdos will this year embrace social networking systems such as twitter, myspace and facebook.

Key award dates and entry packs were broadcast to the world via the official website qdosawards.com on Tuesday March 31, but reminders for entry cut off dates, announcements of finalists and judging criteria will be available via tweets, posts and feeds to the public and design community alike.

Since its inception in 2002, Qdos has grown rapidly and now globally showcases Queensland’s design talent and actively promotes the state’s range, depth and quality of work in the realms of Visual Communication Design, Interior Design and Three Dimensional Design.

As one of the most vibrant Awards programs in Australia, Qdos offers a wide range of categories from Lifestyle Product to Corporate Identity/Branding; Luminaire Design to Built Environment Collaboration.

More information on Qdos can be found on myspace, facebook and twitter.
