Pecha Kucha Hits Australian Cities Throughout March

If you know design, then you have heard of Pecha Kucha. The design phenomena is now happening in 103 locations globally- and March is the month for Australia.

The free event for design minded people will hit Brisbane on March 5th, Melbourne on March 19th and Sydney March 27th.

For those out of the loop, Pecha Kucha night is a presentation in which creative works are presented to large crowds, in an informal, social environmnent.

Originally devised by Astrid Klein and Mark Dytham of Klein-Dytham Architecture (KDa) in Tokyo in 2003 as a place for young designers to meet, network, and show their work in public, the format has spread virally to many cities across the world.

Each presenter is allowed 20 images, each shown for 20 seconds each – giving 6 minutes 40 seconds of fame before the next presenter is up. This keeps presentations concise, the interest level up, and gives more people the chance to show.
