Rare images of Charles Eames on display in commemorative celebration
October 28th, 2007
‘The Gifted Eye of Charles Eames: A Portfolio of 100 Images’ is a travelling retrospective showcase, celebrating the life and work of the eminent Eames family.
Arguably the most important American designers of the modern era, Charles and Ray Eames are best known for their contributions to architecture, the photographic arts, furniture and industrial design and manufacturing.
In this, the 100th year since the birth of Charles Eames, the Eames Office, with the support of Herman Miller, have created the exhibition featuring 100 rare images revealing how photography not only recorded the results of the couple’s work, but was also an integral part of the creative process.
The expo will run from 8 November – 18 November 2007 at Artisan Gallery in Brisbane, Australia, and will also tour China, India, Japan and SEA.
