A strategic alliance will see Woods Bagot and Rice Daubney collaborate on major defence projects in Australia.

Joining forces to increase mutual capacity and gain greater access to resources, together the two firms will complete master planning, architecture and interior design services for large-scale defence facilities.

Two major recent wins – the Australian Defence Force’s Logistic Transormational Program (DLTP 1) in New South Wales and Victoria and the Squadron Headquarters, Hangers and Synthetic Training Facility project in New South Wales and Western Australia – foretells big things ahead for the Woods Bagot/Rice Daubney partnership.

“When two firms of this calibre work together it is not just the client who benefits from the combined experience but there are things to be learned from one another in order to build upon our own knowledge of the defence field,” said Graeme Smith, Principal, Rice Daubney.

The Rice Daubney/Woods Bagot defence team will focus primarily on major projects above $100 million.

“I see Rice Daubney + Woods Bagot Defence being an active member of a unique knowledge community; cutting across technical, policy and industry intelligence layers of the specialised defence market,” said Robert Cahill, Principal, Woods Bagot.

“These relationships present us with a strong opportunity to grow into other sectors as well.”
