Cappellini are renowned for their beautiful, adventurous creations, but this Cubist-inspired piece, entitled ‘Homage to Mondrian’ is a real stunner.

Have you ever seen anything like it? This curious cabinet from Sam Baron’s ‘Marie Antoinette Pop’ range for Casamania conjures a little Alice in Wonderland and a lot of Queen of Hearts...

Diesel with Moroso did some really cool stuff, starting from the floor up with carpets and extending through to lounge chairs and tables. Here the ‘Xraydio 2 Disc’ – a rectangular “occasional” table – is made by printing the x-ray of a DJ console onto glass.

Made you look twice! Edra contributed to an interesting fad for velvet with this particular piece, entitled ‘Cipria’.

Established & Sons always has great stuff and this year is no exception. ‘Two Timer’ by Sam Hecht, and the ‘Bricks and Mortar’ chair by Sebastian Wrong and Richard Wood are just two of the quirky products in their cache.

Chaise Lounge by Front

'Comet Lamp' with designer, Tom Dixon

Champagne Cellar by 5.5 Designers
Veuve partnered with Tom Dixon, Front design and French group 5.5 designers for the out of the box exhibition, with the three groups creating designs inspired by the Veuve Clicquot DesignBox. Although we're unlikely to see any of these designs in the stores, we thought the clever Veuve box Chaise Lounge was definitely worth a mention.

Maarten Baas is definitely one to watch. Collect the set from his ‘Clay’ furniture range. Each piece is made with synthetic clay, reinforced with a metal skeleton. It’s all modelled by hand with no moulds used in the production.

We keep coming back to the ‘360° Stool’ from Magis. It’s a versatile piece, allowing you to sit front on and side-saddle...

Moroso’s range conjures both the cool and curious. From pooled silk, which is in fact a couch, to a cellular-like chair – they dare you to take a seat!

‘Regina’ by Poltrona Frau is everything that elegance and poise should be. Don’t slouch, watch your language, user a saucer with your tea...

Milan’s Under-35s Satellite exhibition was full of jack-in-the-box ideas – like Pudelskern’s knitted furniture and fixtures (hero image and above). Check out their stitched-up lampshades – very cheeky!
