Enabling the creation of beautiful and bespoke interiors, Bolon Studio is a versatile and contemporary flooring concept with shape and colour at the heart of its range.
August 4th, 2015
Bolon Studio’s bespoke design is crafted by selecting from a range of shapes, including Scale, Wing, Triangle, Deco, Plank & Hexagon, and an array of colours from six collections; Artisan, BKB, Botanic, Ethnic, Flow and Now. An additional layer of versatility is added by rotating the direction of the yarn to allow the pattern to exhibit completely different characteristics.
The recently launched Bolon Studio™ Design Tool enables the visualisation of the limitless shape, colour and yarn direction combinations. It allows you to share creations with clients via a link, or export the file in .jpg or .png formats to integrate with design software.
Scale
Scale, the newest addition to Bolon Studio, is the first tile to feature an organic form. Soft and rounded, the design has a form reflecting the natural, glistening beauty of a fish scale.
Wing
Allowing architects and designers to combine several of Bolon Studio’s collections into the one design, Wing can be applied across a range of interior design environments. The strong architectural form compliments interior elements and building details.
Plank
Plank is a flooring shape that can mimic the patterns of classic wooden parquet flooring. The rectangular form, when combined with different collections, colours and structures, can create a bespoke floor to suit all interior design styles.
Triangle
The Triangle tile is available in three sizes and is a strict geometric shape that offers architects and designers endless possibilities. Sophisticated surfaces are created when applying the same shape and colour, or when mixing collections and contrasting colours, bold surfaces with geometrical patterns of rhombuses and triangles can be seen.
Deco
Deco conveys the flourishing movement of the Art Deco era into a contemporary floor. The shape enables a smooth and stylish finish when cut in the same collection, or geometric and bold when cut using a combination of collections.
Hexagon
Add a point of interest and uniqueness to any interior with the Hexagon tile, a shape that can build honeycomb patterns. The structure is fixed while the colour combination and weave direction is dictated by the designers’ imagination and creativity.
