From morning to evening, Brisbane Indesign has a packed schedule of events to inspire and entice you.

Friday 25 May is a chance to ease into things before the main event. Friday’s festivities take a relaxed pace, with many showrooms organising their own special events or hosting visitors by appointment.

This is a great chance to check things out in your own time – and be the first to see new products! Just contact your favourite showrooms prior to the day (exhibitor details can be found on the Brisbane Indesign website) to find out what’s on or to arrange a time to visit.

Exhibitor events on Friday include:

Zenith: 8am invitation-only VIP breakfast

King Furniture: 12-2pm unveiling of installation by interior designer David Hicks, and industrial designer Charles Wilson speaks about his award-winning Andrea Sofa

Mafi: 10am-5pm Open Workshop on working with timber

Café Culture: VIP preview of the Sweetness and Light showroom on Friday night.

 

Saturday 26 May is the big day, with showrooms pulling out all the stops for a day of design celebration. Take the event at your own pace and create your own journey, or use the timed events to help guide your day.

Fireworks Gallery: margaritas, mineral water and cranky hotdogs!

Coco Republic / Smeg: 12-4pm antipasto and prosecco

Innerspace: 11:30am-2:30pm sees Fenton Keogh, crowned Australia’s best BBQer, fire up the grill for visitors to the leafy Outerspace courtyard café

Jardan / Armadillo&Co: light refreshments and BBQ lunch

Living Edge / Bolon by TAG: lunch bites

Chairbiz: 5pm live auction of ’Artists at Work’ artworks

Coco Republic / Smeg: 4-6pm aperitivo with cocktails and a giant wheel of Parmigiano Reggiano!

Jardan / Armadillo&Co: winner of River Weave Circus Stripe rug announced

King Furniture: 12-2pm David Hicks discusses the inspiration behind his installation

Living Edge / Bolon by TAG: 3pm onwards sundowner cocktails and canapés; 3:30pm winner of Chandon Mini Cork Chair competition announced

Winning Appliances & Bathrooms: see new products over a wine or champagne

Zenith: ’Journeys’ design competition, mingle with Sean Dix, Michael Zawros, Michael Alvisse, Marc Schamburg and Keith Melborne, enjoy prize draws and a large human-scale concept puzzle!

Zip Industries: pop-up refreshment centres across BID, enter the draw for a holiday for 2 to Venice.
