The edgy, vintage feel of The Elephant Hotel has been achieved with Prototype furniture throughout.
August 1st, 2014
Nestled in the heart of the fortitude valley lies the Elephant Arms Hotel, an edgy establishment that boasts two Bars, two function rooms and a beer garden. Prototype worked together with the owners to complete a full renovation of the premise.
The Beer Garden was the first area to be addressed, Prototype started of by rejuvenating existing stools with red powder coat, giving the place a fresh and unique feel. The stools were then placed around 13mm compact laminate tables with a mandarin finish. Finally Prototype provided stackable metal Vienna chairs in a custom powder coat to add to the very edgy and distinctive look.
The main bar was next; this very large room is the centerpiece of the premise and sets the tone for the rest of the property. Prototype created a warm and authentic look by using a lot of wood and leather.
Prototype provided custom high bars with turned featured legs as well as Vienna stools with custom upholstered leather seat pads adding to the vintage look of the room. Prototype also re-upholstered tub chairs and crafted custom made leather ottomans and armchairs, while providing feature coffee tables with Athens table bases and red custom powder coated legs.
The upper deck was fitted with Bistrot tables by Emu finished in antique iron as well as Rhonda chairs. Star bar stools, again by Emu were used around the red-featured top custom high bars. Finally we surrounded the balustrade with rustic tubular stools with timber tops.
The function rooms are used for various types of events and are therefore required flexible furniture solutions, which were provided by Prototype. Prototype provided Vienna wooden stools with upholstered seat pads that are placed around three meter long custom wooden high bars. While the perimeter of the room is lined with round tier stools finished with antique studwork around the leather tops
